Do concrete footers need to be poured?

Our modular ramp systems are designed with multi-positional base feet featuring a substantial footprint, eliminating the need for additional concrete pavers or poured footers. These base feet are also offset and rotatable, allowing them to fit snugly under a ramp or be positioned close to a wall, providing both stability and flexibility for installation in various spaces.

Does my modular ramp system have to go straight out, or can it turn?

Our modular ramp system is highly customizable to suit your specific layout needs. It can be configured as a straight run or adapted to turn left or right using a turn platform. For even more flexibility, the system can include a switchback with a turn-back platform or be extended at an angle using a 45-degree angle platform. Whatever your space requirements, the system can be tailored to meet your exact specifications.

What sizes do the platforms and ramps come in?

Our standard resting platforms are available in various sizes to accommodate different needs, including:

  • 4’x4’
  • 4’x5’
  • 5’x5’
  • 5’x6’
  • 6’x6’
  • 8’x5’

Ramps are offered in widths of:

  • 36”
  • 48”

with lengths ranging from 2’ to 8’. For unique requirements, custom sizes can be arranged upon request, ensuring a perfect fit for any space.

What do I use for ice and snow removal on ramps, platforms, and steps?

To safely remove ice and snow from ramps, platforms, and steps, we recommend using a Magnesium Chloride salt substitute. This product helps maintain traction without causing damage to the ramp’s surface.

Why don't you sell platforms without handrails?

At our core, safety is a priority. For this reason, we provide all platforms with handrails as a standard feature, ensuring stability and security for users in all environments.

What kind of tread is used on this ramp system?

Our ramp system is meticulously engineered with safety, durability, and traction as top priorities. Each platform is designed with a knurled, extruded tread, providing a multi-directional grip that enhances stability for users of all mobility levels. This specialized surface helps prevent slips, even in wet or icy conditions, making it ideal for year-round use. Additionally, our ramps feature a raised-rib, extruded tread, which further enhances slip resistance by offering superior traction, whether in dry, rainy, or snowy environments. These thoughtfully designed elements work together to ensure secure footing, maximum stability, and user confidence, allowing individuals to navigate the ramp safely in any setting.

Can I get the black applied surface on this ramp?

No, the black applied surface is not offered on our modular ramp system. However, this feature is available on select models, specifically on two of our SUITCASE® portable folding ramps.

How long does installation take?

Installation time may vary based on the specific configuration, but most systems can be assembled on the same day they arrive. With minimal tools required, the setup process is quick and efficient, allowing for immediate accessibility.

Do the stairs need to connect to one of your platforms?

Our stairs are designed for versatility—they can connect seamlessly to one of our platforms or be attached to an existing platform or deck. Each stair unit features four independently adjustable legs, allowing for a secure and adaptable fit in various configurations.

A straight stairlift and a curved stairlift are both mechanical devices that are used to help individuals with mobility issues navigate stairs. However, as the name suggests, the main difference between the two is the shape of the stairs they are designed to be used on. A straight stairlift is designed for use on a straight flight of stairs, meaning that it moves in a straight line up and down the stairs. These types of stairlifts are generally easier to install and are less expensive than curved stairlifts. They are also typically stocked by manufacturers, meaning they can be purchased and installed relatively quickly. A curved stairlift, on the other hand, is designed for use on stairs that have curves, turns, or landings. Because of the custom nature of these stairlifts, they are generally more expensive and take longer to manufacture and install. However, for individuals with mobility issues who live in a home with curved stairs, a curved stairlift may be the only option for safe and easy access to all levels of the home. Both straight and curved stairlifts are beneficial for individuals with mobility issues because they allow them to navigate stairs safely and easily, which can be a significant barrier for those with limited mobility. Stairlifts can be used both inside and outside the home, depending on the model and the needs of the user. Both types of stairlifts work by using a motor to lift and lower the user along a track that is installed on the stairs. The user sits on a chair that is attached to the track and controls the movement of the chair using a hand-held control.
